EYE can’t believe it’s almost Halloween…yes, I just did that. I’m a huge corn ball and holidays are the best times to be cheesy. Growing up in St. Louis, as a kid it was tradition to tell a joke on Halloween. When you would go trick or treating you would have to tell a joke in order to get your piece of candy. I recently discovered this was a Missouri thing, when I jokingly asked a co-worker what her joke for Halloween was this year and jokes on me, I sounded like a goofball. Joke? What are you talking about?
Although the joke tradition is a Missouri thing, my corny holiday gifts are not. I whipped up some of my favorite sugar cookies, recipe here, and decorated them like eye balls with the best royal icing, recipe here. I put them in a little gift bag, tied with a bow and my best Halloween wishes:)
