DIY Graduation Gift and FREE Printable
Happy Friday! Today marks one week from Steve’s graduation and I would say I haven’t been counting down for the past 3 months, but then I would be lying. It seems like yesterday I was moving to the city, saying goodbye to Steve and hello to two more years of long distance dating. But time sure flew by and this time next week I’ll be heading to Columbia to see him walk across the stage in his gap and gown. I won’t get too mushy but I have to say I’m so proud of Steve and everything he has accomplished over these past years and can’t wait to see what the future holds for him in the medical field. I also secretly hope he doesn’t read this post until next week or spoiler alert on part of your grad gift.

I’ve always been one to make homemade gifts as I’m not so good at just buying things from the store because they never are exactly what I want. When it comes to graduation gifts nothing says celebration better than a bottle of champagne, especially one that can be delivered. I’ve partnered up with Drizly, probably the coolest company ever, to help you create the perfect graduation gift for the grad in your life.
Drizly is a technology company powering fast, convenient delivery of beer, wine and spirits. Yes, you heard that right. You can get wine delivered to your front door..or in this case champagne. How AMAZING is that and how perfect for graduation season with all the patio parties and get togethers? Plus they are giving all Sparkles & Sprinkles readers free delivery on their first order when you use the promo code “SPARKLES”. SCORE!
Now to the crafting!

Materials:

-Bottle of champagne
-Full sheet label paper
-Black construction paper
-Yellow thread/yarn
-Ribbon

Here’s How You Do It:

1. To create the cap, cut a strip of black contraction paper long enough to wrap around the top of the bottle. Glue the ends together to create the bottom of the hat (make sure you test it on top of the bottle first to make sure it fits). Then cut a square piece to be glued on top to create the hat.

2. To create the tassel, cut 4 pieces of yarn the same length and tie together at the top. Using a hot glue gun, place a small drop of glue on top of the hat and press down the tassel to stay.

3.To add the label, print the free label printable here on a full sheet of label paper like this. Remove the brand label from the bottle (you may have to use soft scrub to get it off) and stick the printed label in front.

4. To add a finishing touch glue a piece of ribbon around the neck of the bottle!

Cheers to a bright future for all the graduates!
