I can’t believe September is already almost gone! Next thing you know it will be Christmas, then summer, then my 30th birthday…ok I may have jumped ahead, but I feel like time goes by so much faster when you get older! As time is flying I’m making more and more decisions completely on my own and living and learning as I go; how I spend my money, what career path I wanted to take, what hobbies I have discovered, what clothes I wear, etc. When it comes to choosing outfits, no two people have the same style which is why fashion is so interesting, it’s a constant learning game just like growing up.
Last year when I was eating PB&Js for breakfast, lunch and dinner I really started taking note of Chicago fashion. Maybe it was because I could only afford new socks every month, so I became envious of other’s clothes or because I was still getting lost on public transportation and was noticing it on my half mile walks home when I would miss my train stop. Either way it caught my attention and I still take note of it every day. While noticing everyone’s unique styles, I also spotted a large similarity among almost every woman in Chicago…they all own trench coats. They are the perfect coat for that awkward transition season and go with almost anything. I found this one at H&M last year and have been living in it this Fall.
