It’ almost time for an extra long weekend, wahoo! Time to kick back and enjoy the little bit of summer we have left. If you’ve been following along you know how I’ve been running around like a headless chicken this month between hosting people every weekend and transitioning into a new job. On top of that I seem to have that problem where I just can’t seem to say “no” to new opportunities. It’s like every time I get a minute of free time, something comes up and my mouth does this thing where it spits out “YES” before I can even comprehend what was just asked. I guess I’m just following the words of Tina Fey, “Say yes and you’ll figure it out afterwards”. So I’m saying “yes” and somehow figuring it out afterwards…or just not sleeping.
On another note, my parents came in town this weekend and we had a great time exploring the city! I wrapped up the weekend of warm weather with a picnic in the park featuring my favorite french lunch spot, LPQ, and some Izze drinks. After a weekend of shopping with the parents I found the perfect Labor Day weekend dress and added a pop of red for some holiday fun!
