It was another fun weekend full of events and city exploring! Friday, my best friend from high school officially moved to town and will be staying with me until her lease begins next month. That means 1 studio and 3 people, it will be one interesting month of bonding! On Saturday I had the privilege of attending Simply Stylist Chicago, an event full of inspiring and brilliant young women (more details below). Lastly, I finished the weekend with a little hometown love by attending a Cubs vs. Cardinals game at Wrigley Field. Nothing better than some classic American baseball with good friends and peanuts!
I wore this outfit for the event on Saturday to Simply Stylist. It was the perfect outfit for a day of networking, catching up with old co-workers and meeting new friends and bloggers!
Saturday I met some of the most inspiring and knowledgeable women in today’s world. Below is a picture of the panelist: Host-Catt Sadler, Director of Marketing at CS Magazine-Allison Cooke, Blogger behind Wendy’s Lookbook- Wendy Nguyen, Creator of Katherine Cosmetics-Annie Finch, and Co-Found of The Coveteur-Stephanie Mark. Hearing these women’s stories of how they got to where they are today was so fascinating. They believed in two things, hard work and passion in their products or careers. These two things are the keys to success and have landed them where they are today. It was a wonderful event and amazing opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the fashion industry.
