Hope everyone had a good week! My apartment has officially turned into a hotel, so a welcome rug seemed like the perfect thing to make this week. Between hosting Steve all summer and a good friend for the month of August, plus visitors every weekend this month, I think we can officially call my studio a hotel.
I sure love the company and living in a studio makes for one interesting time when we’re all trying to get ready. I wonder if five people in one studio is considered a fire hazard…hmm. Well I hate to make it such a short post, but I’m off to enjoy the weekend with Steve’s family!
Before I go here’s my quick and easy rug tutorial, enjoy:)
Materials:
-Outdoor rug ($9 at Home Depot)
-4″ Letter Stencils
-Acrylic paint
-Sponge brush
-Pom pom ribbon
Instructions:
1. Line stencils evenly on rug, I used masking tape to hold them in place so they didn’t slide
2. Sponge paint stencil letters onto rug
3. Using a hot glue gun, line the edges with pom pom ribbon and that’s it:)
