If I could relive this morning every morning, I would be the happiest and luckiest bride in the world…oh and the biggest because my diet would consist of only champagne and donuts.
Eh, that might not be as bad as I think actually…
But in all seriousness, even as I sit here and write this post I can’t help but smile from ear to ear.
A few weeks back I popped the question and the only way I knew how, with a donut themed brunch of course!
Everyone loves donuts and brunch. Then you throw in a bottle (or 6) of champagne plus a reason to celebrate and it’s officially a party..literally. We laughed so hard we cried, we popped one too many bottles of champagne that we didn’t want the morning to end and we toasted to many, many amazing memories to be made ahead of us.
It was a brunch I’ll never forget and one I never wanted to end so I’m thrilled to be reliving it as I rewrite this post to share with all of you:)
Plus, who knew how photogenic donuts were? I had a hard time eliminating photos so please enjoy the photo overload during your scrolling below.
How I Asked
Last month I invited 7 of my favorite gals to join me for brunch as what I told them was a “post Christmas celebration”. They each received an adorable invite by All She Wrote (pictured below) that made it very clear it was an event they “donut” want to miss;)
Then the morning came and they all showed up at my parents house where I had set up a little mimosa bar in the kitchen to distract them while I waited for everyone to arrive. Once everyone was there we went into the dining room where the table was set with their name tags on straws and a card at each spot that read “Donut know what I would do without you” on the front side. The girls quickly found their spots and then I asked them to all turn over their cards where it read “will you be my bridesmaid?”.
Without a doubt, they all raised their glasses and we cheersed to the future Kowalczyk wedding party and to many more celebrations ahead!
We then popped a few more bottles of champagne, ate a few too many donuts, toasted quite a few more times and laughed at the many memories that are about to be made:)
