Whenever I think of neon, I think of grade school days and those neon pot looms that we wore as choker necklaces. Anyone else remember those “oh so fashionable” accessories? Looking back I can’t believe my mom let me walk out of the house with them on my neck. Didn’t she think it was odd I was wearing a piece of a pot holder around my neck?
It always cracks me up looking back through old Facebook photos and seeing some of my rather questionable outfit choices. I actually was deep cleaning my closet the other day when home and found a mini skirt I wore in college. I held it up and looked at my mom with a “why did you let me wear this” look. She started laughing and said “I always hoped you didn’t bend over when you wore that”. It’s always funny seeing how much our style changes as we get older and I’m sure I’ll look back on what I wear now one day and laugh at how silly my outfits are but in the meantime I’m brining back the neon and not around my neck.
I have a thing for midi skirts, maybe it’s because I’m tall or because I can sport them at the office and on the weekends but I paired this one with a classic button up blouse and some lace up heels for a little flare. Add a clutch and neon necklace and it’s the perfect work to weekend outfit!
