TGIF! We are officially 16 days into the new year and I’m stilling making resolutions and goals..better late than never I guess.
I’ve been working on ways to make 2015 an even better year than 2014 including setting big goals, networking to no end, improving my beauty routine (if you missed last week’s post, check it out here) and getting more organized…starting with my closet.
I’ve always been super organized, but lately my organization in my apartment has been lacking due to never really being in it.
The other day when I left my closet door open while on my computer in bed, I noticed my closet hanging rod bent down in a U shape due to my overload of hanging clothes. Uhh…that can’t be good. Guess that means it’s time to do some home rearranging and organizing!
Luckily the lovely Madi, from Homegrown Hostess, came to the rescue with this super cute DIY Clothing Boutique Rack that you can make with just a few supplies from your local hardware store. Super easy and super cute!

I’m so thankful for the mutual friend who introduced us and getting to know Madi over these past few months has been an absolute pleasure. Her blogging tips and light hearted humor are the best! Madi recently left her job to pursue her dreams full-time and I couldn’t be happier for her! Find out more about Madi’s blogging inspiration in my interview with her below:)
1. Why did you started blogging?
I started my blog in college as a “creativity outlet” during a semester ridden with math & science courses. It’s crazy to think about now that blogging is my full time gig. I’m so glad I followed my passion even though it seemed silly at the time.
2. What is your favorite thing about blogging?
I’m completely overusing the word, but creativity is an everyday necessity for me. The part that’s interchangeable is the medium. Blogging allows me to cook, photograph, paint, write, dress-up and learn/team up with other “makers” that are experts in their craft. I am always learning and am always inspired by the freedom and community that blogging lends itself to.
Happy Friday!
