The sun is shining and the temperatures are rising, so I am thrilled to be doing shoots outside again. My friend, Liz and I had a blast doing this shoot and the pictures turned out beautifully (thanks Liz)! I forgot how happy sunshine can make you and people in Chicago are outside loving every minute of it!
I have recently been addicted to internet shopping (in a controllable way…sort of haha). I found these pants at Forever 21 and was immediately drawn to the bright colors and light fabric. They can be styled casually or for going out, I chose night out on the town look!
I paired these eye catching pants with a white blazer and light weight silk shirt. I added my favorite statement necklace from t+j designs and an old black clutch from francescas as an evening bag.
These Vera Wang shoes from Kohls are to die for! They go so well with everything, are comfortable, and the perfect height for a long night downtown!
I have been blessed with so many wonderful events in my life lately! My hard work over the past year with my five internships and part time job has been paying off and I recently received my first promotion at my job. I am beyond excited for this opportunity and a chance to build relationships with my new clients! I also learned something this weekend, that I’m not as hard to surprise as I thought. I was beyond surprised when my boyfriend showed up while I was out the other night with some girlfriends. I usually am a movie and wine night kind of girl during the week, but somehow my friends got me to the bars this past Thursday and good thing they did. I was completely engrossed in conversation, when I was tapped on the shoulder and asked by a familiar voice “Would you like a drink?”. I turned around and couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw Steve standing there with the biggest smile on his face. I was beyond ecstatic to see him after two long months apart! We had a wonderful weekend together and although it’s always sad saying good-bye, I am excited for the many things coming up! Hope everyone enjoyed the weather and had a lovely weekend as well!
