It seems like every spring Steve and I book visitors almost every weekend and play tourist in our own city. It’s one of my favorite parts about the spring, getting to see our friends and family who come in town but also enjoying the city in a way that we tend to overlook since moving here.

We may do the same thing a few weekends in a row. Yes, sorry we can only think of so many different things to do with people but also it’s because those things are our favorite and touring the city via bike is definitely always top on our list. Here in Chicago, we have a bike rental service called Divvy and it’s kind of the greatest thing since sliced bread…literally. The way it works is you find a station, you pay a fee to rent it then you pull the bike off the stand and go. Yup, that easy and convenient for when we have visitors in town who want to see the city without jumping from cab to cab.

So I guess you could say the “bike tour” is kind of our thing for visitors and we love to end it with a picnic in the park or a beach day. So the other weekend when a few friends came to town we showed them around the city with a bike tour and then ended at the park with a fun picnic. We stopped by the local farmers market and grabbed some food and I packed up my go to refreshing and super simple cocktail using Aquafina sparkling water. It was the perfect spring day and the perfect way to show the city and visit with friends.

Plus, the cocktail was such a hit that I had to recreate it and share the recipe with all of you! It’s refreshing, fruity and extra sparkling;)
Aquafina Sparkling WaterAlso if you want to know a little fun fact,  I’m kind of a sparkling water feen. Like to the point that I make a trip to Target just for it when we run out. I guess, you could call that addicted but on the bright side Aquafina Sparkling only has 1.0 calories, 0 sugar, and 0 artificial flavors so it’s better for me than my dessert addiction;) Also, since starting my training for the 1/2 marathon I have definitely needed to add more water to my diet and drinking tap water can get boring for me so I love that Aquafina adds the perfect balance of fun and a hint of flavor to my water. Plus with all the flavor options including two new ones, Mango Pineapple and Black Cherry, I never get bored with my water and now thru 6/17, receive 25% off any Aquafina Sparkling 8pk flavor, coupon above and details here. Ok, enough of my sparkling water obsession, let’s get to my new favorite cocktail recipe that will be sure to be on repeat all summer long!
