From one celebration to the next. It’s hard to believe it’s already been almost three weeks since our wedding, and don’t worry, there will be a full recap and many post-wedding posts about that later but first a little birthday/4th of July celebration.

Today marks my 27th birthday. It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone so quickly. Either the years are getting shorter or I’m really getting that much older…yikes.

Although 26 will definitely be a hard year to top (marrying my best friend, my first trip out of the country, the list goes on and on), I have a strong feeling it may come pretty close, as I can’t wait to share what I have up my sleeve. Hoping to roll out the big news within the next few months, so stay tuned.

Back to the celebrations.

Being an (almost) 4th of July baby, I’ve gotten pretty used to smaller birthday celebrations, as most people travel out of town for the holiday weekend, and after what feels like months of non-stop big celebrations, I’m excited to get together with just a few friends this year for a little summer bbq to celebrate another year older!

After two weeks in Italy with lots of caprese sandwiches and countless days spent drinking wine on our balcony, I decided to recreate a little Italian-inspired dish with a summer twist.

Inspired by the fresh fruit of summer and my go-to wine when back in the states, The Dreaming Tree, I made a caprese dip with summer berries that can be whipped up in a snap and easily taken on the go for your next backyard bbq or summer get together. I also paired it with The Dreaming Tree’s Crush, as I’m personally a red wine drinker, but one of my favorite parts about their wines is they are created to be enjoyed with any style of food, which makes them perfect for a summer celebration with friends. Plus, I’ll admit I’m totally one of those people who buys wines based on their labels and I’m loving their new label! You can find The Dreaming Tree wines at your local grocery, drug or supercenter stores (or go to their locator to locate their wines near you).
