Cheers to the holidays…wait there’s still 3 more weeks of parties? Ok, I’m in!
If you’re like me and the only holiday parties you went to in college were “Ugly Sweater” themed, then you might want to consider investing in some new party outfits. But hang on to that sweater too, you never know when you might need it!
Funny story, my brother and I actually wear our mom and dad’s old sweaters as ugly sweaters. Yes, sweaters that they once wore as “in-style”. Sorry mom your sledding Santa sweater with button snowflakes was probably in at some point, but now it just wins all the best ugly sweater contests;)
However, sticking to the sweater theme I found this extra cozy cropped sweater the other day and paired it with a high-waisted red skirt to give a little shape to the oversized sweater. Since it’s been rather cloudy in the city lately my legs are about as pale as the snow on the ground, so I layered the skirt over black tights with heeled ankle booties. Outfit is ready, now time for a cocktail!
