The sun is shinning, the temperatures are rising, my friends are out of school and planning trips to visit, and yet I’m still stressing over details. I always imagined in college how much easier life would be once I only had a full time job to focus on…man was I wrong. I never realized how fortunate you are in college to have time in between classes to go to the gym, to run those errands you need to do or meet up with friends for lunch. With a full time job, I feel like a robot: wake up, get ready, work, gym, make dinner, shower, call friend, bed..repeat. I always try to plan something fun to get me out of my robotic routine on the weekends and once or twice during the week, but find myself stressing over the details: Will I have time to go home and get ready after work or should I get up extra early and be ready before hand? Do I need cash? When will I have time to shower after the gym? What if the train is behind schedule? and the best yet..What do I even wear?
I know crazy, right? Although I’m a person who tends to over think everything and plan every little second of my free time, I know that other 20 somethings deal with the same thing, transitioning from college life to real world working life. I’ve been working lately on not stressing over the little things and taking things as they come because in the end it doesn’t matter if you’re 5 minutes late, if your outfit is black and white when everyone else is wearing neon, if your friend has to spot you for the cab because you don’t have cash, what matters is the memories you make and the people you make them with!
This summer I plan to enjoy each day as it comes and not stress about it the night before. My planner that is usually glued to my hand will be staying in my apartment while I am out enjoying life! If you’re like me and tend to plan your life to the point it stresses you out, take a moment to step back this summer and enjoy life! Isn’t that what everyone older always says, “Enjoy it while you’re young”? Well I say it’s about time to enjoy it:)
Now for the outfit details, see what I did there;) haha. I usually love finding the perfect necklace to go with my outfit but the details in this top were too hard to pass up! Also, the perfect work to weekend outfit!
