Weekend Wrap-Up
So many fun things have been going on lately that I had to share! It’s my first Spring in Chicago and although it’s been snowy and cold, I’m loving every minute of it. There are always so many things going on in the city that there is never a dull moment so I thought I would share my weekend adventures with you!
Thursday- Worked my first event for my new job! Between glow in the dark cotton candy and the beautiful view from the rooftop, I was in heaven! I had a blast at the SELFLESS launch party and had the privilege of meeting some remarkable people. After the event, my friend called to share her good news of landing a new job so the party continued with celebratory drinks at Freestyle. Successful event and exciting news made for a wonderful Thursday evening.

Friday- I had three lovely ladies come in town for a total girls weekend! We went to Eataly for dinner that evening and they were in complete aw. We sipped wine while we shopped around and then dined at the La Pizza & Pasta eatery within the store. Surprisingly we saved room for dessert and I took them to my work, Molly’s, for some delicious cupcakes. Afterwards we were so stuffed that we had to practically be rolled back to my apartment to get a good night sleep for a full day of shopping Saturday!

Saturday- We grabbed brunch at Toast on our way to the shops on Armitage We stopped in a few shops there before we headed down to Michigan Avenue and shopped until our feet needed a break. We then headed to The Drake Hotel for tea. This was the most adorable little tea party, including a live harpist and macaroons. We sipped tea and snacked on little treats and sandwiches while enjoying each other’s company. After we rested up, we hit the stores again until they closed. So we grabbed Garrets and headed back to my apartment for wine, popcorn, and Sex and the City. The perfect end to a day of shopping!

Sunday- They couldn’t leave without going to at least one show, well at least I guess it counts as a show haha. We went to the Kit Kat Lounge for a “Divalicious” brunch where we had mimosas and watched some “divas” perform while we ate. It was a blast and a lovely weekend that ended too soon. I enjoyed the company this weekend and can’t wait for them to visit again soon! I’m already thinking of things for next time 😉

I’ve had a running list on my phone of things that I’ve been wanting to do or see in Chicago. I am glad I was finally able to cross off quite a few this weekend! Now with the winter finally dwindling down, I’ll be able to get out and start experiencing the city again! Can’t wait to share more of my adventures! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
