Sometimes I wear a parka down to my ankles, some days I stay inside the whole day to avoid the cold and other days I decide to do a photo shoot when it’s single digits outside and my fingers turn blue.
Yup, it’s official. This cold weather is getting to my brain…and my frozen fingers.
This past weekend Steve and I made a promise that we wouldn’t make any plans except date night Saturday. Other than that we were up for whatever! I’d have to say these were by far the best (non) plans we’ve ever made!
We took the weekend easy staying indoors, catching up with friends over drinks, doing some shopping for the apartment and grabbing a few beers at a new bar while catching the football game. Wait, what? Football? Who me?
I told you this cold was getting to my brain.
But with a casual winter weekend, came the perfect casual look using some classic closet staples. Although having my ankles showing was not the brightest idea, I paired these slip-ons with skinny jeans, an oversized shirt blouse (which by the way if you don’t own one of these, go buy one now! They go perfect with literally everything), a black vest and some gold accessories.
Classic, casual and perfect for going in and out of stores…or bars.
Note: wear jacket when going outside with this look. Don’t be fooled by that frost bit smile, this was probably the coldest shoot I’ve ever done.
Any go-to looks for these cold winter temps?
Love this look Megan! It’s so chic yet casual – the perfect look for running around the city on a weekend or a causal day at work. PS cute tote 🙂
Thanks Katie and totally agree (minus the winter parka, not pictured above haha). Isn’t it the best? I use it everyday for work, running errands and going out!
