If you need me today, I’ll be here hiding behind this over sized floppy hat and blanket scarf until it’s the weekend again.
Just me, my hat and my endless collection of scarves.
This past weekend, Steve and I met up with a few of his co-workers for dinner Saturday evening. We had been bums all day so we took our time getting ready and decided we’d take the bus to dinner. After we got to the stop, Steve checked his phone again to realize we still had about 20 minutes to kill before we were supposed to be there. Hmm 20 minutes and a Nordstrom Rack across the street, you thinking what I’m thinking?
Yup, the perfect place to kill 20 minutes.
When we walked in, Steve said “Ok we only have 15 minutes before we need to head back to the stop so no time to really shop Megan”. No time to shop? Does he know me?
I did a quick run through the shoe aisle, tried on a few pair of boots that I plan to go back for and then skimmed through the winter accessories section where I found yet another scarf to add to my collection. I head to the checkout to see Steve standing there with his eyes rolling, “Another scarf? Don’t you own like 20 of those?”. But this one is reversible, none of the others are that cool!
Needless to say, I got another scarf.
It’s something about the cold weather that makes throwing on an oversized, soft scarf the perfect accessory. Plus when it matches your new jersey swing dress, you know it was meant to be. I paired this with my favorite floppy hat, tights and ankle boots for the perfect casual look for a lazy Sunday brunch with the girls.
