Havenly Home Makeover | Part 2

havenly makeoverHome is where the heart is…and boyfriend. and new puppy. and cupcakes.

My dad used to always say when I move to a new place I MMOOVVEE to a new place and make it my home. I took that as a nice compliment that I sure know how to make a place hom-ey, but I think he meant that I sure know how to cram a lot of stuff in a little space…and make lots of holes in the wall for him to patch up when I MMOOVVEE out.

Thanks dad, my deposit fees would never be returned if it wasn’t for your hole patching skills. My landlords and bank account greatly appreciate you!

interiorsNow typically my MOOVVEE in has consisted of adding pops of pink everywhere, gold tassel garlands here and then some flowers and framed shoe paintings there. However this time, not the case.

This was my first MOOVVEE in where I had to think in terms of blues, grays and pops of neutrals…pops of neutrals? Is that even a thing?

Apparently it is and even though this move meant donating and storing almost everything from my old place in a storage unit, it was the totally worth it to say adios to move in with this guy. Building our home (apartment) together from scratch with Havenly may have made this move the best one yet.

I love our little Chicago apartment and our time spent together in our home is my absolute favorite:)
