4 Ways to Find Motivation Everyday

motivation

Some days we wake up ready to rule the world and other days, we’d rather stay in our pjs and call in sick to work.

Cough, I think I’m getting the flu which means I can’t go to work or the gym or unload the dishwasher…. Yes, we’ve all been there.

It seems like yesterday I was moving my to-do list for today to tomorrow in my planner.

Oh wait, it was.

We always have a 100 things to do and want to try and do it all. While sometimes we honestly just can’t do it all and keep our head on straight, other times we just need to find that motivation to get it done. Whether you’re looking for motivation to get back into a gym routine, start a blog, get ahead on things at work or try a new hobby, motivation is all around us and once we find it we can totally rule the world;)

Surround Yourself by Supportive People.

My number one tip is surrounding yourself with supportive people. There are so many times I have found myself saying ” I can’t do it” or finding a reason aka “excuse” but having supportive friends and family who remind me of why I push myself everyday has helped me stay motivated. Sometimes we just need someone to hold our hand and tell us “we got this!”.

Find Your Middle Goal.

I think the biggest misconception with finding motivation is focusing on the ending goal. Typically this goal is your ultimate, big dreaming goal that will take more than a month or so to achieve which causes people to loose motivation when they don’t reach it. Instead of focusing on the ending goal, find a middle ground goal and focus on getting to that point. Once there then readjust your ending goal according to what it took to achieve your middle goal and move forward towards achieving that. Just like they always say, start small and dream big.

Regroup and Refresh.

When juggling many things and trying to do it all, you can definitely hit a breaking point of wanting to give up. Instead of pushing yourself to that point, take a few minutes to break and regroup every hour or two. I find my best creative ideas are formed after a walk around the block or a quick “mindless” scroll through social media.

Find Your Reason.

There’s a rhyme and reason for everything and finding that reason of why you’re doing what you’re doing is vital to staying motivated. Nothing makes my heart more happy than hearing from a co-worker or friend that they tried one of my recipes or found my blog post helpful. It’s that ideal of helping others from my experiences and meeting talented and inspirational people that keeps me motivated everyday to keep up with the blog even after an extra long day at work.

Ever find yourself loosing motivation? What keeps you going everyday?
