5 Minute Tie Headband

This headband is about as quick and easy as you can get! I recently saw this style head band in the store and thought I could make that for half the price, so I did. I’m going to show you how you can make your own in 5 minutes or less!

Materials Needed:

  • Fabrics (any type will do, try to get some with a little stretch to it)
  • Thread and needle(optional)

Instructions:

  1. Lay your fabric out flat on the floor
  2. Using scissors cut a strip of fabric that is long enough to wrap around your head 2.5 times. The wider you cut it the thicker the headband will be, I did mine about 5 inches thick
  3. (Optional) If you want a nice edge you can turn the fabric inside out and sew the sides together, then flip the fabric back and you should have a tube shaped piece to tie

Step 3

Now the fun part, how to tie it! You can style this head band however you like, but here’s a simple way I like to wear it.

Step 1: Place the strip evenly behind your head
Step 2: Twist the fabric twice in the front of your head, creating the knot
Step 3: Tie the ends together behind your head and tuck the extra under the headband

Yup, it’s that easy!
