Half way through the week!

What? That’s the first time you’re hearing that today. You must have not done your social media lap.

With all this work talk lately and only 2 days left until Friday, it only made sense to share one of my go-to office outfits.

I always wished I was one of those girls who looked like they just hopped off the runway at the office, but to be honest when I’m getting ready in the morning with one eye still half shut and the thought of sitting in a chair for 50% of my day running through my mind, I think comfort meets professional.

I’m a totally scarf, sweater and pencil skirt kind of girl. Maybe because I’m always freezing cold and a scarf can double as a blanket at my desk or just because it’s an effortless accessory that makes it look like you actually tried to look presentable and think through your outfit.

Regardless, it’s my total go-to and this LOFT sweater and scarf is no exception. I paired these with a pencil skirt and some fun lace up heels to add a fun element to this work casual look.

LOFT

I get asked all the time where I shop for work clothes and I have to say my top places are Banana Republic, J. Crew, LOFT and Ann Taylor. And this month in honor of International Women’s Day, Ann Inc. (Ann Taylor and LOFT) will be selling an exclusive collection of accessories created by women in a remote community in the Indian Himalayas. Through a partnership with Village Ways Charitable Trust, they are providing the opportunity for women in this village to develop job skills and live full lives everyday, providing for themselves and their families.

I can’t think of a better way to shop for office clothes than buying products that will give other women the opportunity to develop job skills of their own. Be sure to stop by your local stores starting March 1 to check out these exclusive products.
