Chicago Guide: Exploring Lincoln Park

Ok maybe it’s because I’ve only lived in Lincoln Park or because it’s got pretty much everything you could ever want within only a few mile radius, but I’m kind of in love with this neighborhood. 

Maybe that’s an understatement…I’m OBSESSED!

From dive bars to fancy cocktail lounges and gourmet burgers to french cafes, your taste buds are always sure to be pleased here. Plus, a park with a view of the lake and fresh farmers markets happening in your own backyard, there’s never a reason to be bored.

 I’m rounding up my top places to go, see, eat and do in Lincoln Park!

To-Do

Lincoln Park Zoo: Enjoy an afternoon walking through Lincoln Park Zoo.

Steppenwolf Theatre: Catch a play at the Tony-Award winning Chicago theatre.

Green City Market (summer season): Stroll through the outdoor farmers market for fresh fruit and vegetables while enjoying a green smoothie or crepe.

Goose Island Brewery Tour: Grab the buds and head to the brewery for some beer knowledge and sampling at Goose Island. Plus you each tour comes with a souvenir glass to take home!

The Second City: Laugh your head off at this improvisational comedy enterprise and enjoy skits by Tina Fey and many other now-famous comedians.

Earls: Enjoy a taste of global cuisine at this modern, sleek dining destination with a local Chicago art interior vibe.

Geja’s Cafe: Grab the fondue sticks and order the whole bottle of wine because you’re in for a night of cheese dipping and wine sipping at this hidden gem.

Pequod’s Pizza: Ditch the deep dish chains and head to this local hot spot for some of the best deep dish in town.

North Pond: Dinner with a view. Enjoy the perfect date night inside this modern, American fare dining spot nestled inside Lincoln Park. 

Butcher and a Burger: Can’t decide what you want on your burger? Don’t worry you can have it all at this burger paradise shop. You pick the meat and toppings to create the burger of your dreams.

Oz Park: In town with the niece and nephew? No worries, head to Oz Park where the kids (and adults) can be kids in this Wizard of Oz themed park.

Lincoln Park Conservatory: Fresh flowers and greenery set the scene in this beautiful glass domed structure.

Lincoln Park Wood Pavilion: The famous engagement shoot destination is perfect for a morning walk through the park or to catch a photo of the sunset over the city.

North Avenue Beach: Never can go wrong with a day at the beach. Enjoy a game of beach volleyball in one of their summer leagues or ride a Divvy bike and ride down the trail.
