There’s nothing I love more than throwing a party and with the Oscars this Sunday it seemed like the perfect excuse!
Red carpet season has always been a favorite of mine between the pre-show with all the stunning gowns, the honoring of some insanely talented people and the recognition of movies, shows and songs I never heard of.
Does anyone else make a list when watching award ceremonies of movies they need to go rent after or albums they need to buy? My list always ends up in a youtube binge session where I watch music videos of songs performed at the Grammys or clips of movies I need to go rent….terrible, yet so addicting.
This Sunday is the 87th Academy Awards and I’m getting together with a few girlfriends for a little watch party. While our night somehow turned into everyone bringing a Mexican dish and margaritas, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite glam red carpet parties below!

How to Throw a Gold Glam Oscar Party
1. Set the table with gold accents and movie inspired objects to create the perfect post red carpet dinner table. Check out these adorable gold painted movie tickets from Glitter Guide.
2. If you are looking to just throw a little cocktail party. Setup a drink and snack station on a bar cart or your counter. Create your own treat stands using a rolls of movie tickets like Apartment Therapy did. Cute, clever and cheap!
